Meguro 250cc : J2 Junior Development improvement was done by J Junior who was the first 250cc motorbike in Japan as second model of the old junior series, and Meguro250cc J2 junior appeared from him. 550 sets were manufactured from December, 1951 before 'June, 52. Since the model used the J type frame as it was for '51 years, there is no rear suspension and it is rigid frame. From '52-year model, the exclusive frame was prepared and plunger was adopted as rear suspension. The ornament design of a fuel tank is changed and appearance is changing. (The emblem of the Meguro wing is attached) Rather than anything, the newly designed G type single cylinder OHV 4 cycle engine will be mentioned specially by J2. Compared with J type engine of J, it became a long stroke (70x64->65x75). And the push rod moved outside and the engine composition out of which the case came to the engine side became being the same as that of 500cc model. Furthermore, a timing case is designed and it becomes a form of a characteristic Y shape. This became the appearance-symbol of subsequent Meguro engine. Exhaust systems are two ports. Although G type engine was improved by design reexamination of an oil system etc. just after the model for '51 years and turned into G2 type engine from the model for '52 years, it was fundamentally the same. Then, although set to 288cc with J3 Junior's G3 type engine, it evolved into K type engine by birth of the new Junior series S. And improvement was continued and even the last K5 type engine was inherited as basic engine of a Meguro 250cc class.
