Meguro 300cc : J-8 Argus

Meguro 300cc : J-8 Argus ages 1963 as S-8 junior's brother model, and manufacturing and 
 selling is carried out.
Appearance is the motorbike completely same besides that engine exhaust capacity is carrying 
 out the boa rise at 288cc with 250cc : S-8 Junior, and the coating being partly different.
The difference among the main coatings is that the paint specification of a fuel tank is the 
 same as that of K Stamina(500cc).
And it is having abolished a starter and attached equipment (Decompression equipment called 
 Magnetic valve lifter) for lightweight-izing of body weight.
As a background of J-8 birth, there is existence of Metropolitan Expressway which was under 
 construction those days, and Meishin Expressway which was carrying out partial opening of 
 traffic.
It is the infrastructure strange for the auto industry of Japan which is still called highway, 
 and, seemingly, it was not understood whether it could run even a passenger car satisfactorily.
In Meguro, since it corresponded to a highway, 500cc : K Stamina was developed. 
Although the patrol specification motorcycle was already shipped to the National Police Agency, 
 it is said that there was a request of the car as needs of the spot where management is lighter 
 than K.
Thus, it is compacter than K and it is J-8 that made S-8 into the model and development (rather 
 than it says so minor change) of 300cc class was carried out as new series corresponding to 
 a highway.
If it says by relation by S-8, as for the second-half model of S-8, and J-8, improvement 
 communalization is carried out on the part level. 
Especially, although the specification of the stop screw of an engine timing chain cover is 
 eight pieces in the first half model of S-8, after improvement becomes nine pieces and it is 
 thought that measures were taken about the oil leak from the cover circumference.
This is doubtful although there is description which hints further that a 500 cc model exists 
 indirectly by a certain data.
If possible, it should be developing by 300 cc or more not from the engine exhaust capacity of 
 288cc but from the start.
Although it is probably then, since the paint specification of a fuel tank is the same as that 
 of K, I think it appropriate to suppose that someone took.
