Meguro 125cc : E1 Regina Meguro 125cc : E1 Regina is the first two small class vehicle as Meguro. It is the motorbike by which it was expected that the demand of this class was extended and development was carried out by having revised the license system in 1954, including 125 cc class vehicle for which lightweight two-wheeled vehicle license was required till then in the bicycle with a motor (moped) by which classification was newly prepared, and being able to ride now only by operation permission registration. It will be put on the market from May, 1955 and about 3400 sets are produced by May, 1957 when it will change to a succeeding vehicle and E2 Regina(125cc). As development of a small two-wheeled vehicle was not easy only for the weight vehicle maker, what it being made a light car and the marks which took pains can be seen and taken. The transmission which newly developed engine and EH type became the first mono-block unit type as Meguro, and was included in the OHV single cylinder of a boa x stroke, and a 52x58 and a long stroke is a four-step rotary type as well as an upper vehicle. Four steps of gears were the first in this class as that time. Not a magnet but this has adopted the battery ignition system also for the ignition system for the first time as Meguro. And a user's convenience is taken into consideration to the starting difficulty in battery going up which is the difficulty of this system as a dynamo style with the capacity performance which can be put into operation also in such a situation. Although lightweight-ization is started as much as possible, if a frame is compared with the motorbike by which the other company was similar, it is as heavy as 110kg. However, in the design of a fuel tank, the emblem, and the performance side, it was the model which becomes easy to come to hand by the introduction vehicle-specification to 250cc Junior of an upper vehicle, such as being equal to a lightweight two-wheeled vehicle, to the fan who wants Meguro. In addition, since the dark blue part is bluish green, the Meguro-wing of the emblem in a fuel tank can be easily distinguished from 125cc vehicle. Although the small two-wheeled vehicle of Meguro begins from here, it has not left the track record to the degree to expect. Surely, although the market expanded 125cc class vehicle by revision of a license system, the most is occupied by Honda, SUZUKI, YAMAHA, and the large maker to whom the new small motorbike called TOHATSU is mainly carried out, and a severe competition already trifles with a small and weak motorbike maker. Meguro needed to sell 125cc class vehicle, in order to overcome this competition, and the cost furnished to exclusive use as a result increased, and it also became the cause of the management crisis of subsequent Meguro. There are few existing cars and they do not not much have the popularity as a vintage motorbike. Although it seems that a large majority is a scrap, since a possibility of it having been used at the farmhouse etc. and remaining in the warehouse as it is is also high, it may continue to be discovered. *** Principal statistics *** * Total length : 1,975 mm * Full-width : 760 mm * Total height : 920 mm * Distance between axis : 1,290 mm * Weight : 110 kgf * Engine type : EH type: Single cylinder OHV 4 cycle * Entire aerodynamic volume displacement : 123 cc * Installed capacity : 5.2 HP / 5,000 rpm * Full speed : 75 km/h * Fuel economy : 70 km/L * Transmission : Advance 4 step rotary * Tire : (Front) 2.50x19-2 / (Rear) 2.75x19-4 * Starting system : Kick
